Neuropsychological Assessment

A comprehensive neuropsychological assessment includes a thorough evaluation of cognitive functions and behavior. The assessment integrates standardised cognitive testing, clinical interview and a review of medical history.

We conduct assessments for a range of conditions including:

  • Diagnosis of dementia and investigation of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

  • Assessment for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients

  • Neurological conditions (e.g.,stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy)

  • Diagnosis of intellectual disability

  • Assessment for ADHD

  • Assessment for clients with mental health conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, depression and anxiety

  • Assessments for Legal Aid clients

Capacity Assessment

Capacity assessments provide a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive abilities and impact on decision making.

The assessment can provide an opinion as to a person’s ability to make decision in various domains including:

  • Need for Guardianship

  • Financial Capacity

  • Capacity to appoint an Enduring Guardian

  • Capacity to appoint a Power of Attorney

  • Testamentary Capacity (capacity to make or alter a will)

Capacity assessment reports can be submitted to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

The aim of our tailored support service is to optimise your functioning, quality of life and overall well-being.

We also treat people who have functional neurological disorders (FND) using a structured and focused cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach.

We can collaborate with any other health professionals involved in your care (e.g., physiotherapist, OT, speech pathologists) in order to achieve your goals.
